The aim of this course is to provide foundational knowledge on the rights and needs of children and youth in migration context. It introduces key international frameworks, principles and practical tools to help migration professionals apply a child and youth sensitive, rights-based approach in their daily work.  It provides knowledge on child- and youth-rights and practical tools to consider the child and youth perspective in migration.

It also deals with the concept of the best interests of the child and promoting child and youth participation.

Migration and Gender

This Migration and Gender Course aims to equip participants with the knowledge and practical lens to understand how gender shapes migration experiences, risks, and access to rights at every stage of the journey. By the end of the course, participants will be able to analyze how policies, services, and institutions affect different groups—women, men, girls, boys, and people with diverse SOGIESC—and identify where protection gaps or unequal outcomes are most likely to occur.

Migration and Development

This Migration and Development Course aims to equip participants with the knowledge and analytical skills to examine the basics of the complex relationship between migration and development. The course will explore how migration can contribute to sustainable development by examining the role of various forms of capital—such as social, human, and financial capital—that migrants bring and how these can support local, national, and global development.

Global and Regional Migration Governance

The course explores the structures, principles, and practices of migration governance at the global, regional, and local levels.
